Our Story

Hope On The Road Ministries began as a ministry of Lakenon Baptist Church in July 2023 whose main goal was to take the hope of Jesus Christ to the marginalized populations of Hill County.  We began meeting in four different locations around Hill County and after a couple of months realized the Lord was calling to narrow our ministry area to around Lake Whitney, at that time we began rotating between Cedar Creek Park and Soldiers Bluff to provide the hope of Jesus through Christian Fellowship, and Worship. HOTRM at each one of its services offers a free hot meal, the opportunity to take a shower in our camper, the opportunity to wash clothes (have to air dry), and provides nonperishable food items, necessities, and clothing to those in need. Our objective is to spread the love and hope of Jesus by being his hands and feet and taking the church to the people and meeting them where they are.
